Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 1 year cooking experience in a high-volume or fast-casual restaurant
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- bilingual ability (English/Spanish) preferred

- skilled in prep, cooking, and executing recipes with consistency
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties
- prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment
- knows and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
- portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
- maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, etc
- assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
- closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations
- assists others in closing the kitchen, attends all scheduled team meetings/training and brings suggestions for improvements
- performs other duties as assigned such as dishwashing, bussing, etc
