Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience cooking for large groups, preferably in a school or childcare setting
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols
Willingness to participate in required trainings
Availability Monday through Friday
Good physical stamina

Job Qualifications

Experience cooking for 150 children or more
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to plan and prepare meals and menus
Strong organizational skills
Effective communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team in a preschool setting

Job Duties

Preparing fresh fruit, vegetables, and other products
Serving breakfast, cooking and serving lunch for all classrooms
Serving a morning and afternoon snack
Writing and preparing monthly lunch and snack menus
Cleaning and washing prep table, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning and organizing the prep fridge and pantry
Rinsing kitchen equipment and cutting boards
Maintaining overall cleanliness of the kitchen and pantry
Budgeting, managing, and ordering inventory
Assisting in other areas as needed assigned by management
Having fun while working in a preschool environment
