Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • At least 1 year of related cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand during shifts
  • Comfortable working with knives, utensils, and hot equipment
  • Ability to work in hot kitchen environments

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience, preferably in high-volume or casual dining environments
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques including soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry
  • Ability to follow recipes and product instructions accurately
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong attention to food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
  • Perform all station functions including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and egg cooking
  • Communicate ticket times and potential issues to managers and servers
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment
  • Operate kitchen equipment and handle ingredients as required
  • Estimate food requirements and manage production records
  • Comply with food safety and HACCP standards
