Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum age of 18 years
- one year of proven cooking experience
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- prior experience in a cafeteria or large volume production kitchen preferred
- knowledge of safety procedures in food service environment
- physical ability to stand and be on feet for extended shifts

- at least one year of relevant cooking experience
- prior kitchen or cafeteria experience in a large-volume production facility is a plus
- knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
- ability to follow recipes and kitchen protocols
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- dependable and flexible work attitude
Job Duties
- Refers to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift and completes opening and closing checklists daily
- sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- safely uses a variety of kitchen utensils including knives and other items
- operates kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
- follows standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen rules
- handles, stores, labels, and rotates products in compliance with state laws
- stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations
- understands menu items and is responsible for prepping ingredients
- multitasks effectively in a high-volume kitchen
- handles hot and cold work conditions during food preparation
- meets physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods
- performs other related duties as assigned
