Job Requirements
- Must be detail-oriented
- Must be well-groomed and act professionally
- Must be a team player who works well with others
- Ability to read, speak and understand English
- Must be able to work around food and cleaning products
- Must live in service area
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to push/pull up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods
- Required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course within 60 days
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course within 60 days
- Specialized training in foodservice (preferred)
- Experience working in facilities utilizing quantity food production methods
- Knowledge of quantity food production and serving techniques
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to maintain records and complete reports
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve food including texture modified and therapeutic diets according to facility menu
- Prepare food in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and guidelines
- Assist in proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures
- Assist dietary aides as necessary and direct other employees with approval
- Follow time schedules for meal preparation and serving
- Maintain neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Interact positively with residents, clients, and other personnel
