Job Requirements
- Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
- hold Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit where applicable
- ability to communicate effectively with public and team members
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 100 pounds
- ability to work in environments with extreme heat and cold
- willingness to follow safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Communication skills for training, safety and guest interaction
- appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
- preferred 3 years of previous line cooking experience including 2 years in fine dining
- culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
- ability to perform basic and intermediate cooking skills
- ability to work multiple kitchen stations
Job Duties
- Prepare basic components of each dish using recipes
- memorize and utilize serving portion sizes and meal prep procedures
- ensure kitchen and food storage areas meet cleaning standards
- maintain a clean and sanitary workstation including grills, broilers, fryers, ovens and refrigeration equipment
- prepare items by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and marinating
- follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup
- handle, store and rotate all products properly
- stock and maintain sufficient food product levels at line stations
- monitor product freshness and rotate out old products
- give direction in supervisor's absence if required
- deliver passionate and engaging service to guests using GUEST model
- build solid relationships with colleagues and treat them with respect and dignity
- meet minimum age and hold Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit where applicable
- communicate effectively with public and team members
