- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic methods
- knowledge of Universal Precautions and rules that govern hazardous waste
- previous experience in skilled nursing facility preferred
- ability to follow oral and written directions

Job Duties
- Prepare food items on assigned scheduled menus
- maintain sanitation of equipment and utensils, work area, storage area, and serving area
- follow proper food handling procedures
- ensure meals meet resident's diet specifications
- comply with prescribed dietary and sanitary regulations
- assist with inventory management and kitchen cleanliness
- collaborate with dietary and healthcare staff
