Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cooking or related food preparation
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Willingness to obtain Serv-Safe certification preferred
- May be required to hold valid First Aid Certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience with food preparation, kitchen safety, and sanitation
- Ability to read and follow instructions, recipe books, menus, and food labels correctly
- SERV-SAFE certification preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of dietary restrictions and special diets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of dishes according to the daily menu
- Follow special dietary needs to create tasty and nutritious meals
- Maintain high standards of quality by observing each dish for recipe and appearance standards
- Engage residents with friendly conversations and walk-thrus to ensure high satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by properly cleaning all equipment, work areas, walls, and floors
- Adhere to kitchen safety and sanitation guidelines
- Support inventory management and food storage practices
