Job Requirements
- Four years of prior cooking experience preferred
- Ability to work full-time or part-time with flexible scheduling
- Must be able to safely operate kitchen equipment
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Commitment to comply with food safety regulations and company policies
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform job duties
- Willingness to attend safety meetings and training sessions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum four years prior cooking experience preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation and safety standards
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and instructions
- Strong attention to detail with tasting and quality control
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Good communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and food storage standards
- Commitment to safety and compliance with HACCP and company policies
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares them for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and attractive
- Tastes food items to ensure quality and safety
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- Cleans kitchen and maintains high standards of cleanliness
- Stores or discards excess food according to safe food handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and food stored per standards
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
- Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Reports maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and managers
- Performs duties following safety and company policies including use of protective gloves and proper handling techniques
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures following HACCP standards
- Commits to personal safety and the safety of others
- Performs other duties as assigned
