Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior food production experience
- ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- basic math skills
- knowledge of food safety and special diets
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to push food carts
- ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- ability to work in hot or cold environments
- physically able to meet job demands
- experience in healthcare or senior care settings preferred

Job Duties
- Prepare food according to recipes, dietary guidelines, and production sheets
- ensure food meets standards for portion control, temperature, and presentation
- maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area
- stock and organize kitchen supplies, ingredients, and equipment for efficient workflow
- utilize leftovers effectively by creating marketable dishes
- complete production and tally sheets accurately
- report malfunctioning equipment or food shortages promptly
- follow all safety and food handling policies
- reduce waste through proper portion control and efficient production
- deliver and manage meals for several floors, pushing meal carts and ensuring timely service
- build rapport with residents by learning and honoring their individual meal preferences
- collaborate with the culinary team and complete related tasks as assigned
