Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior food service cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday including rotating Fridays
  • Physical capability to perform demanding kitchen tasks
  • Ability to comply with safety and hygiene standards
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and follow company procedures
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in food service cooking preferred
  • Ability to prepare food following standardized recipes
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
  • Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Capability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and company policies

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Serves meals or prepares them for delivery by using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and appealing
  • Uses established ticket collection and recording procedures during service periods
  • Cleans and maintains kitchen, refrigerators and storerooms, storing food and supplies properly
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, reporting, and ordering of food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment or accidents promptly
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Ensures compliance with food safety standards and HACCP protocols
  • Adheres to company safety policies including use of protective gloves and proper lifting techniques
  • Performs other duties as assigned
