Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards required
  • At least one year of relevant cooking experience
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in hot environments
  • Availability to work flexible shifts as required
  • Ability to work with sharp knives and hot equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of one year cooking experience in high volume casual dining or similar environment
  • Knowledge of cooking methods including soup preparation, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and short correspondence
  • Strong communication skills to interact comfortably with customers and team members
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of HACCP food safety standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods according to recipes and product directions
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
  • Provide high quality service to customers and associates
  • Clean and sanitize work stations and equipment
  • Practice food safety and sanitation practices complying with HACCP standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment and handle food preparation tasks such as measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of food products
