Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a kitchen environment
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to participate in tip pooling
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

  • Skilled in prep, cooking, and executing recipes with consistency
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment
  • Know and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, etc.
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
  • Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations
  • Assist others in closing the kitchen
  • attend all scheduled team meetings and training and bring suggestions for improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned such as dishwashing, bussing, etc.
