Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Demonstrate significant job experience in food production and safety
- Knowledge of HACCP regulations and safe food handling practices
- Ability to maintain sanitary and neat work area
- Commitment to ethical behavior and compliance with hospital policies
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Ability to follow departmental dress codes and attendance policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Significant knowledge and experience in high quality food production
- Experience with food sanitation and safety requirements
- Ability to function successfully in a team-based work environment
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to food safety protocols
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Produce menu and special event food items following standardized recipes
- Ensure compliance with food and sanitation standards including HACCP regulations
- Prepare safe and nutritious meals for patients, hospital associates and customers
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work area with proper food storage and equipment care
- Use quantity recipes, production sheets, batch cooking and portion control standards to ensure quality and cost effectiveness
- Promote a positive, cooperative attitude and flexibility to meet department goals
- Adhere to ethical practices and hospital compliance standards
