Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- at least two years of formal culinary training or equivalent experience
- proven experience in food preparation and kitchen sanitation
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- capacity to handle intense time pressure
- must maintain personal hygiene and wear uniform
- compliance with safety and food handling regulations
- ability to work cooperatively in a team

Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years formal culinary training program with degree or equivalent experience
- food service background in upscale restaurants, private clubs, or hotels preferred
- knowledge of kitchen sanitation procedures

Job Duties
- Prepare soups, stocks, and sauces according to standardized recipes
- boil, braise, and roast items as specified
- prepare sautéed, fried, grilled, steamed, pureed, and baked items
- complete appropriate paperwork and clean equipment
- maintain hot food line service and communicate entree choices
- serve food with proper portions and presentation
- prepare salads, desserts, and baked goods per recipes
- follow food production sheets and coordinate with meal serving hours
- adhere to sanitation standards and OBRA guidelines
- monitor, teach, and discipline kitchen and service staff
- participate in pre-service meetings and plan menu supplies
- comply with dietary restrictions based on physician orders
- follow safety regulations and HACCP guidelines
- maintain safe and sanitary workstations
- maintain hygiene and dress code standards
- attend training and education sessions
- perform assigned duties and respond to emergencies appropriately
- comply with Cottage Grove Place code of conduct
- work efficiently under time pressure
- collaborate with coworkers as a team
- maintain resident confidentiality
