Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less
  • Manual dexterity
  • Auditory and visual skills

  • Cooperates and works together with all co-workers
  • Plan and complete job duties with minimal supervisory direction
  • Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations
  • Follows up as appropriate with manager-on-duty regarding reported complaints, problems, and concerns
  • Must use safety cut gloves when handling knives
  • Must use safety goggles when cleaning kitchen equipment to protect eyes from exposure to injury

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Moderate reading and writing skills
  • Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
  • Prior experience in related food service positions preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare or direct preparation of food served using company established production procedures and systems
  • Comply with company established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards
  • Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques
  • Store food properly and safely, marking date and item
  • Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to the manager-on-duty
  • Correctly prepare all food served following company standard recipes
  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food is preserved
  • Apportion food for serving
  • Maintain daily production records
  • Keep work area neat and clean at all times, clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation
  • Complete food temperature checks before service
  • Perform tasks supportive to the essential functions of the job, prepare and serve food for special functions as assigned
