Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- Ability to lift and or move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
- Ability to frequently immerse hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
- Ability to work with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
- Ability to work in a hot environment
- Minimum of one year cooking experience
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of closely related cooking experience
- Experience in high-volume and casual dining restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of cooking techniques including soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents
- Ability to converse comfortably with customers
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and HACCP standards
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
- Communicate ticket times and potential problems to the manager on duty and servers
- Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
- Practice excellent food safety and sanitation practices and comply with HACCP standards
- Operate a variety of kitchen equipment
- Measure and mix ingredients
- Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
