Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen area preferred
  • Working knowledge of culinary terms preferred
  • Basic knowledge of culinary techniques preferred
  • Food safe certification from recognized authority preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain valid Kentucky gaming and racing license
  • Ability to work flexible hours and handle high-pressure deadlines

Job Duties

  • Operate kitchen equipment including slicer, steamer, deep fryer, ovens, broiler, grill, mixer, kettle, and griddles
  • Participate with staff to cook, prepare, dish up, and assemble all outlets food
  • Provide excellent guest service to internal and external guests
  • Greet guests approaching the service area
  • Read and understand recipes, measurements, and communicate in basic English
  • Adhere to control procedure for food costs and quality
  • Follow health codes and hand washing guidelines
  • Prepare food items according to standard recipes and menus for consistency
  • Create compound sauces and derivatives of mother sauces including Beurre Blancs
  • Prepare written food requisitions for supplies and inventory
  • Perform other duties as assigned
