Job Requirements

Successful completion of Wonderlic Cognitive Ability Assessment
Successfully passes Cook's test
One to three months of related experience or training preferred
Ability to work in wet and humid conditions
Ability to handle extreme heat and occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds
Ability to follow safety regulations including wearing protective equipment

Job Duties

Prepares, seasons, and cooks meals for hospital patients, employees, and visitors
Follows safe food-handling procedures including frequent handwashing and avoiding contamination
Maintains cleanliness of cooking area, personal appearance, and kitchen equipment
Plans cooking schedules according to menus and production requirements
Operates and sanitizes kitchen utensils and equipment
Bakes, roasts, broils, and steams various foods while adjusting seasoning and cooking methods
Maintains food temperature records and complies with food safety standards
