Job Requirements
- Successful completion of Wonderlic Cognitive Ability Assessment
- Successfully passes Cook's test
- One to three months of related experience or training preferred
- Ability to work in wet and humid conditions
- Ability to handle extreme heat and occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to follow safety regulations including wearing protective equipment

Job Duties
- Prepares, seasons, and cooks meals for hospital patients, employees, and visitors
- Follows safe food-handling procedures including frequent handwashing and avoiding contamination
- Maintains cleanliness of cooking area, personal appearance, and kitchen equipment
- Plans cooking schedules according to menus and production requirements
- Operates and sanitizes kitchen utensils and equipment
- Bakes, roasts, broils, and steams various foods while adjusting seasoning and cooking methods
- Maintains food temperature records and complies with food safety standards
