Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of prep or line cooking experience
  • DOH accreditation or Safe Serve certification
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • capability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • able to work in high stress, fast-paced environments
  • effective communication skills
  • adherence to grooming and uniform guidelines

Job Duties

  • Contributes positively to the team environment
  • understands and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen procedures
  • prepares, cooks and assembles food items accurately following recipes and special diet requirements
  • works closely with front of house to ensure timely and accurate food orders
  • preps ingredients for peak trading periods to meet 10-minute ticket times
  • builds relationships and communicates effectively with back and front of house teams
  • stores food safely and plans production to maintain food quality, temperature and appearance
  • receives and unpacks kitchen and food deliveries
  • maintains a clean and hygienic workstation and kitchen equipment
  • follows closing procedures and reports issues to General Manager
  • maintains grooming and uniform standards
