Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of cooking experience in a large-volume, high-quality food service operation, or 3 years with graduation from a certified culinary school
- ServSafe Certification preferred or ability to obtain
- Strong ability to follow recipes and produce consistent, high-quality meals
- Ability to work on your feet and manage multiple responsibilities

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals following approved recipes and dietary guidelines
- Create and present meals of high quality, with attention to taste, appearance, and nutrition
- Manage time effectively to complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and supervisors to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist in all phases of food service within the Food & Nutrition Department
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, following HAACP guidelines and personal hygiene protocols
- Wear appropriate uniform and adhere to departmental policies and schedules
- Treat patients, guests, and coworkers with respect and courtesy
- Make recommendations to improve food quality and department performance
- Take accountability for food preparation and its impact on departmental success
