Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Food Workers Card and/or Serve Safe Certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties
- Willingness to work full-time hours with flexible scheduling including weekends
- Ability to comply with health and safety regulations
- Strong commitment to resident care and company values
Job Qualifications
- Current Food Workers Card or Serve Safe Certification
- Previous cooking experience preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Patient and compassionate demeanor
- Willingness to work in a team environment and adapt to various shifts including weekends
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment including proper preparation, serving, and storage of food
- Ensure residents’ special dietary needs are met
- Prepare small batch meals from scratch to maintain quality and consistency
- Demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills
- Collaborate and communicate effectively within the Dining Services team
- Promote the mission, values, and beliefs of Cascade Living Group
- Build positive relationships with residents and contribute to their overall quality of life
