Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of relevant cooking experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Prior experience in cafeteria or large volume food production facility preferred
  • Familiarity with safety procedures in food service environment

Job Duties

  • Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties and complete opening and closing checklists daily
  • Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Safely use a variety of kitchen utensils including knives and other items
  • Operate a variety of equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
  • Comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, recipes, policies, and procedures
  • Handle, store, label, and rotate all products properly and in accordance with applicable state laws
  • Follow assigned instructions to properly stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations
  • Prep ingredients and manage assigned station efficiently
  • Multitask in a high-volume kitchen while maintaining composure
  • Handle hot and cold work conditions during food preparation
  • Stand and be on feet for extended periods
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
