Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • at least one year of relevant cooking experience
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • prior cooking or kitchen experience in a cafeteria or large volume production facility preferred
  • experience with safety procedures typical in a cafeteria or food service environment

Job Duties

  • Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties and complete opening and closing checklists daily
  • set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • safely use a variety of kitchen utensils including knives and other items
  • comfortably use and operate a variety of equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
  • comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, recipes, policies and procedures
  • handle, store, label, and rotate all products properly and in accordance with applicable state laws
  • follow assigned instructions to stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth serving of food
