Job Requirements
- Must have experience in food preparation and cooking
- Ability to lift objects up to 40 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for extended periods
- Must obtain a Food Handler's Certificate or complete food handler training
- Must complete a pre-employment physical
- Must pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
- Education substitution for experience is not allowed
- Open to all applicants with appropriate eligibility and preference documentation
- Experience gained in restaurants, grills, snack bars or similar food service activities
- Foreign education credentials must be equivalent to U.S. standards
Job Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation and cooking
- Knowledge of menu planning and food characteristics
- Ability to perform yield testing and cost control
- Familiarity with food ordering, issuing, and storage procedures
- Physical ability to handle kitchen demands
- Completion of food handler training and certification
- Ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
Job Duties
- Prepare a wide variety of menu items according to planned menus and recipes
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds frequently
- Stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend continuously during work shifts
- Perform yield testing to determine portion cost and adjust recipes as needed
- Order, issue, and store food supplies following proper procedures
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained
- Complete food handler training and obtain necessary certifications
