Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of one year cooking experience in restaurant or senior living settings
  • Ability to adhere to strict sanitation and cleanliness standards
  • Availability to work a full-time schedule including Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 11:00am to close
  • Capability to prepare diets in compliance with local nutritional regulations
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Strong commitment to quality and customer service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Minimum of one year restaurant, senior living or equivalent cooking experience
  • Knowledgeable in food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for hospitality and senior care engagement

Job Duties

  • Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization at all times
  • Adhere to food quality, appearance and presentation standards consistently
  • Produce and serve menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional and dietary criteria as required by regulations
  • Prepare diets according to policy and procedure
  • Exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production
  • Assist with serving meals and ware washing when necessary
  • Visit residents periodically to evaluate food service quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance
  • Conduct evaluations to improve food service operations and procedures
  • Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner
  • Support a culture where business decisions and employee engagement drive top-line revenue and occupancy
