Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification
- Proven cooking experience preferably in senior living or healthcare
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Physical stamina to lift and handle heavy kitchen equipment and supplies
- Flexibility to adapt to changing dietary needs and schedules
- Team player with good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary school education or relevant certification preferred
- ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification required
- Proven experience as a cook preferably in senior living, healthcare, or similar environment
- Strong culinary skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Ability to adapt to dietary restrictions and special menu needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Provide excellence in service by preparing meals that positively impact resident satisfaction
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop menus that meet special dietary requirements
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations including HACCP principles
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment ensuring all equipment is functioning properly
- Work collaboratively as part of a cohesive team to foster a supportive kitchen atmosphere
- Adapt to changing menus and resident dietary needs
- Assist in inventory control and kitchen supply management
