- experience with menu planning assistance
- ability to maintain accurate records

Job Duties
- Prepares food daily as outlined on the menus
- alters or adapts recipes to accommodate special dietary needs or improve recipes
- ensures attractive presentation of food on the plate before serving
- coordinates and participates in serving food including monitoring portion control
- maintains accurate record of chargeable meals and submits to office monthly
- assists with menu planning and adjusts menus with Dietary Manager
- identifies food and supplies needed for the next week’s menus and reports to Dietary Manager
- prepares meats for storage and portion control upon delivery
- ensures proper handling, storage, and labeling of all delivered foods and ingredients
- maintains a clean, orderly, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment
- ensures compliance with regulations
- assists in training other kitchen staff in food preparation
- performs other duties as assigned
- complies with all policies and procedures and any updates
