Job Requirements

  • Possess 3 years and above relevant experience
  • Food Safe Certification required
  • able to communicate in English
  • flexible to work in various shifts including weekdays, weekends, holidays, morning and evening hours
  • possess basic computer skills in MS Office

Job Qualifications

  • Possess knowledge and prior experience in making kitchen products including BBQ, Hot Foods, Dim Sum, Sushi, and/or other semi-finished products
  • possess 3 years and above relevant experience
  • possess knowledge in workplace health and safety and food safety
  • Food Safe Certification required
  • able to communicate in English
  • proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is advantageous
  • good organization and problem-solving skills
  • flexible to work in various shifts including weekdays, weekends, holidays, morning and evening hours
  • possess basic computer skills in MS Office

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the storage of food, both incoming stock
  • responsible for preparing ingredients before cooking, such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or cleaning seafood
  • ensure proper receiving is done and food is stored in the appropriate conditions
  • responsible for his or her own station, ensuring that all items are appropriately cleaned and ready for use before and after each shift
  • ensure recipes, ingredient specifications, quantity, quality, cooking time as stated in the SOPs are being executed
  • ensure the kitchen meets sanitation standards as set by the Head Cook and Food safety
  • ensure product quality, food safety, freshness and FIFO is strictly practiced within the department
  • ensure that food is properly stored and always handled by ensuring all temperature records are properly completed
  • responsible for the cleanliness, hygiene, equipment, and tools maintenance
  • ensure garbage, recycled materials and other disposable items are handled timely and properly
