Job Requirements
- Possess 3 years and above relevant experience
- Food Safe Certification required
- able to communicate in English
- flexible to work in various shifts including weekdays, weekends, holidays, morning and evening hours
- possess basic computer skills in MS Office
Job Qualifications
- Possess knowledge and prior experience in making kitchen products including BBQ, Hot Foods, Dim Sum, Sushi, and/or other semi-finished products
- possess 3 years and above relevant experience
- possess knowledge in workplace health and safety and food safety
- Food Safe Certification required
- able to communicate in English
- proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is advantageous
- good organization and problem-solving skills
- flexible to work in various shifts including weekdays, weekends, holidays, morning and evening hours
- possess basic computer skills in MS Office
Job Duties
- Responsible for the storage of food, both incoming stock
- responsible for preparing ingredients before cooking, such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or cleaning seafood
- ensure proper receiving is done and food is stored in the appropriate conditions
- responsible for his or her own station, ensuring that all items are appropriately cleaned and ready for use before and after each shift
- ensure recipes, ingredient specifications, quantity, quality, cooking time as stated in the SOPs are being executed
- ensure the kitchen meets sanitation standards as set by the Head Cook and Food safety
- ensure product quality, food safety, freshness and FIFO is strictly practiced within the department
- ensure that food is properly stored and always handled by ensuring all temperature records are properly completed
- responsible for the cleanliness, hygiene, equipment, and tools maintenance
- ensure garbage, recycled materials and other disposable items are handled timely and properly
