Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of relevant cooking or food preparation experience
- Ability to work part time on an on call basis
- Must stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Compliance with safety and hygiene policies
- Willingness to work as part of a diverse team
- Reliable transportation to the Newark Liberty International Airport Marriott location
Job Qualifications

- At least 1 year of related work experience
- Ability to operate kitchen appliances safely
- Knowledge of food preparation and safety standards

Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning chopping and storing food
- Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
- Weigh measure and mix ingredients
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes quality and presentation standards and food preparation checklist
- Operate ovens stoves grills microwaves and fryers
- Test foods for proper cooking
- Monitor food quality during preparation
- Set up and break down workstation
- Serve food in proper portions
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area tables tools knives and equipment
- Check temperature of appliances and food
- Follow company and safety policies and procedures
- Report maintenance needs accidents injuries and unsafe conditions
- Complete safety training and certifications
- Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
- Communicate effectively with team members
- Support team goals and respond to employee concerns
- Ensure adherence to quality standards
- Stand sit or walk for extended periods
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Perform additional job duties as assigned by supervisors
