Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
- Knowledge of soups sauté broiler fry and pantry food preparation
- Ability to speak read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend twist and stand to perform job functions
- Frequent immersion of hands in water and chemicals
- Frequent work with sharp knives utensils and hot plates
- Frequent work in hot environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
- Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
- Food preparation skills pertaining to soups sauté broiler fry and pantry stations
- Ability to speak read and comprehend instructions correspondence and policy documents
- Comfortable conversing with customers
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend twist and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in hot environments and use sharp knives and utensils
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and/or product directions for preparing seasoning cooking tasting carving and serving food items including soups meats vegetables desserts and other food and beverage products
- Taste products follow menus estimate food requirements check production and keep records to accurately plan production requisition supplies and equipment as needed
- Clean and sanitize work stations and equipment
- Practice excellent food safety and sanitation practices and comply with HACCP standards
- Operate a variety of kitchen equipment measure and mix ingredients wash peel cut and shred fruits and vegetables
- Stock date rotate and check temperature of product
- Communicate ticket times and potential problems to manager and servers
- Perform all other responsibilities as assigned by management
