Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to frequently handle sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
- Ability to work in hot environments
- Ability to frequently immerse hands in water and chemical diluted solutions
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
- Knowledge of HACCP standards
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Experience in high volume, casual dining restaurant environment preferred
- Food knowledge pertaining to Soups, Sauté, Broiler, Fry, and Pantry
- Ability to communicate comfortably with customers
Job Duties
- Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
- Perform all station functions including Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs cooking
- Communicate ticket times and potential problems to manager and servers
- Provide the highest quality of service to customers and associates
- Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
- Follow food safety and sanitation practices complying with HACCP standards
- Operate kitchen equipment and prepare ingredients including washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding
