Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 1 year experience in a similar culinary role preferred
- certification in food safety and handling e.g. ServSafe
- ability to follow dietary guidelines and recipes accurately
- good physical stamina for standing and moving during shifts
- strong team collaboration skills
- flexible schedule to cover weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- prepare and cook a variety of meals including breakfast lunch and dinner following established recipes and dietary guidelines
- collaborate with the culinary team to plan weekly menus and assist in inventory management of kitchen supplies
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen dining areas and food storage according to health and safety regulations
- monitor food quality and presentation ensuring dishes are served at proper temperature and plating standards
- assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff sharing best practices and cooking techniques
- participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes resident feedback and overall kitchen operations
- respond to residents feedback and requests regarding meal preferences and adjust menu items accordingly
- adhere to all food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy dining environment
