Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must use safety cut gloves when handling knives
  • Must use safety goggles when cleaning kitchen equipment to protect the eyes
  • Supports the Mission, Values, and Vision of Cheeseburger Restaurants
  • Supports, cooperates with, and implements safety programs including universal precautions and safe work practices
  • Adheres to rules, regulations, policies, and procedures outlined in the orientation, Employee Handbook, and Safety Manual
  • Ability to communicate effectively in sensitive and emotional situations
  • Uses tactful communication and works cooperatively with coworkers
  • Reports and/or corrects unsafe working conditions and equipment repair needs
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an as-needed basis

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Moderate reading and writing skills
  • Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
  • Prior experience in related food service positions preferred
  • Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less
  • Manual dexterity
  • Auditory and visual skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare or direct preparation of food served using Company established production procedures and systems
  • Comply with Company established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards
  • Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques
  • Store food properly and safely, marking date and item
  • Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to the Manager-on-Duty
  • Correctly prepare all food served following Company standard recipes
  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food is preserved
  • Apportion food for serving
  • Maintain daily production records
  • Keep work area neat and clean at all times
  • Clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation
  • Complete food temperature checks before service
  • Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances
  • Prepare and serve food for special functions as assigned
