Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
  • knowledge of HACCP standards
  • ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • ability to bend, twist, and stand for normal job functions
  • ability to work in hot environment
  • willingness to frequently work with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates

Job Qualifications

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
  • experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • knowledge of food preparation techniques for soups, saut, broiler, fry, and pantry
  • ability to read, comprehend instructions, and converse comfortably with customers
  • ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
  • ability to work in hot environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
  • perform all station functions including Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and cooking eggs
  • communicate ticket times and potential problems to the manager on duty and servers
  • provide the highest quality of service to customers and associates
  • clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • practice excellent food safety and sanitation practices complying with HACCP standards
  • operate various kitchen equipment and handle food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding fruits and vegetables
  • stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
