Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • at least 1 year of relevant cooking experience
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to speak, read and understand instructions
  • physical ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to follow HIPAA and company policies

Job Qualifications

  • food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
  • experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant preferred
  • knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry and pantry cooking
  • ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
  • ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • ability to stand, bend and twist
  • comfortable working with sharp knives and hot equipment
  • able to work in a hot environment

Job Duties

  • prepares cooked foods following recipes and product directions
  • communicates ticket times and potential problems to manager and servers
  • provides high quality service to customers and associates
  • cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment
  • practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices complying with HACCP standards
  • operates a variety of kitchen equipment
  • measures and mixes ingredients and prepares fruits and vegetables
