Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and food safety knowledge
  • ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • ability to bend, twist, and stand during work
  • frequently handling water and chemicals
  • experience working with sharp knives and hot equipment
  • able to work in hot environments
  • minimum of 1 year cooking experience
  • good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year cooking experience in related environment
  • knowledge of HACCP standards
  • food knowledge related to soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry
  • ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and communicate with customers
  • experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred

Job Duties

  • Follows recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
  • communicates ticket times and potential issues to management and servers
  • provides high-quality service to customers and associates
  • cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment
  • practices food safety and sanitation complying with HACCP
  • operates kitchen equipment and prepares ingredients
  • stocks, dates, rotates, and checks temperature of product
  • performs additional tasks as assigned by management
