Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in assisted living or senior care cooking preferred
- Ability to work on a PRN (as-needed) basis
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies
- Flexible schedule to accommodate shift demands
- Commitment to following food safety regulations
- Positive attitude and dedication to resident care
Job Qualifications
- Experience in cooking within assisted living or similar healthcare setting
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to plan menus that meet dietary restrictions and preferences
- Strong organizational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Culinary training or certification preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve nutritious, delicious, and well-balanced meals for residents
- Plan menus in accordance with dietary needs and preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate special diets and allergies
- Monitor inventory and request kitchen supplies as needed
- Foster a warm and inviting dining atmosphere for residents
