Job Requirements
- Education and work experience sufficient for effective job performance

- prior experience in a high volume, full-service restaurant kitchen
- commitment to guest service
- valid food handler permit
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, nights and holidays
- ability to work in confined spaces
- ability to handle extreme temperature ranges
- ability to lift 15-20 pounds frequently
- capability to walk extensively including inclines and stairs
Job Qualifications
- Combination of education and work experience to facilitate on-the-job effectiveness
- demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, manage time and complete multiple tasks
- ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and supervisors
- previous restaurant kitchen experience in a full-service, high volume, fast-paced environment
- demonstrated commitment to guest service
- up-to-date food handler permit, Serv Safe certification a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare meals for customers with excellent dishes and presentation
- ensure appropriate supplies are stocked before each shift
- weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes and portion control standards
- steam, broil, grill, bake or fry meats, fish and other ingredients
- restock all supplies on every shift
- check food and ingredients for freshness
- arrange and garnish dishes
- ensure kitchen area, equipment and utensils are clean
- adhere and exceed all health department sanitation codes
- observe and detect signs of emergency, distinguish product, taste, texture and presentation
- participate in staff training sessions and facility meetings
- manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment
- perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
- maintain grooming and personal conduct according to employee handbook
- foster teamwork with all restaurant departments
- complete all shift records including payroll and days off requests
