Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and split shifts
  • Must comply with all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Must have punctual, regular, and reliable attendance
  • Obtain necessary permits or certifications as required by city or county laws

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to learn food safety procedures, including safe temperatures for ingredients
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with crew members and management
  • Consistently follow ingredient measurements for quality products
  • Ability to follow directions and safety requirements
  • No previous experience required
  • May require Food Handler's permit or Foodservice Sanitation Certification

Job Duties

  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipe, using various kitchen utensils and equipment
  • Follow measurement charts to ensure consistent and quality products
  • Bake, fry and microwave main dishes and cook or heat other food items
  • Observe and test cooking by viewing, smelling, piercing with fork, and testing temperature with thermometer
  • Provide guidance to other kitchen crew and management during food preparation
  • Wash, peel, cut, dice and shred vegetables and fruits
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation containers, areas, and utensils
  • Monitor thermostat controls and report malfunctions
  • Record product usage and waste on charts
  • Operate dishwasher
  • Deliver clean plates, utensils, glasses to service areas
