Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic practices
One year of cooking experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Completion of a cook's training program or equivalent experience
Ability to work full-time
Capable of working various shifts

Job Duties

Prepare meals for veteran residents according to individual dietary needs
Ensure high quality and presentation of all prepared food items
Maintain safety and sanitation standards in the Dietary Services Department
Assist in preparation of meals for special events
Provide excellent service to veteran residents
Monitor inventory and food supplies
Follow all health and safety regulations
