Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience
- graduation from a recognized culinary school or two years food production experience
- ability to read, write, follow written or oral instructions and be understood in English
- basic computer skills
- flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations
- ability to meet physical demands involved with job duties
- State of California Food Handler certification must be obtained within three months of hire

- experience with large scale food production and industrial equipment preferred
- Servsafe certification preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare food for patient food services, retail food services, and catering services
- stock, assemble, and serve portion controlled hot and cold food
- replenish and stock stations
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of foodservice areas and equipment
- establish and monitor food quality and temperature standards
- provide excellent customer, patient, and staff interactions
- work collaboratively as part of the Nutrition & Food Services team
