Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum one year food preparation or related experience preferred
- Ability to obtain food safety certification
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to follow safety procedures and facility policies
- Must complete required Authorization for Release of Information form

- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to obtain a food safety certification
- Excellent attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Strong judgment and tact in daily responsibilities
- Ability to motivate and supervise inmates or team members
- Knowledge of basic safety procedures and facility policies
- Friendly, helpful customer service skills in fast-paced environments
Job Duties
- Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Prepare, package, and portion meals, deliver, distribute, serve, and store food
- Perform routine cleaning, including breakdown of preparation and service areas, tray service ware and cart washing, equipment cleaning, floor and drain maintenance
- Perform storage, distribution and inventory functions including loading, unloading, organizing, and rotating food items
- Maintain safety and security as required by office policies and procedures
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mincing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food
- Safely use kitchen utensils and tools such as knives, mixers, and ovens
