Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills with knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum 1 year of cooking experience
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand for long periods
  • Comfortable working with hot equipment and sharp utensils
  • Ability to work in a hot environment
  • Good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
  • Knowledge of food preparation and HACCP standards
  • Experience in high volume and casual dining environments preferred
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Ability to communicate comfortably with customers
  • Knowledge of soups, sautee, broiler, fry, and pantry cooking methods

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
  • Taste products and follow menus to ensure quality
  • Estimate food requirements and keep production records
  • Clean and sanitize work stations and kitchen equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety and sanitation in compliance with HACCP standards
  • Operate a variety of kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Stock, date, rotate and check temperature of food products
