Job Requirements

  • Less than high school education, GED or high school degree accepted
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
  • Must be willing to work in an environment with extreme heat
  • Must be able to wear non-slip shoes
  • May be required to obtain a State Food Handler certification within 60 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Sets up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • Ensures all foods are prepared according to guidelines using only approved ingredients and processes
  • Handles raw chicken in a safe manner at all times and prevents cross contamination
  • Fries and bakes chicken
  • Works around hot oil and closely follows all safety policies
  • Safely utilizes a variety of utensils and cooking equipment
  • Complies with established cooking methods, quality standards and food safety policies/practices
  • Follows all chemical safety guidelines
  • Discards ingredients/products that have expired or do not meet quality standards
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products
  • Looks for opportunities to assist fellow team members in an enthusiastic manner
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Other duties as assigned
