Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in hot environments
  • Willingness to handle sharp knives and utensils
  • Frequent hand immersion in water and chemicals

Job Qualifications

  • Food preparation skills
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of 1 year cooking experience
  • Familiarity with high volume or casual dining environments preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work with kitchen equipment

Job Duties

  • Follows recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
  • Communicates ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
  • Cleans and sanitizes work stations and kitchen equipment
  • Practices excellent food safety and sanitation in compliance with HACCP standards
  • Operates a variety of kitchen equipment and tools
  • Measures and mixes ingredients, prepares fruits and vegetables
  • Stocks, dates, rotates and checks temperature of product to ensure safety and quality
