Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience in related environment
  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • Capability to work in hot environments
  • Ability to communicate in English

  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Knowledge of soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry cooking techniques
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions
  • Effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions including soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food and beverage items
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems to managers and servers
  • Operate fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and egg cooking stations
  • Practice excellent food safety and sanitation measures following HACCP standards
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut, and shred fruits and vegetables
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
