Job Requirements

  • Two to three years of prior culinary experience preferred
  • Ability to work full time including rotating weekends
  • Willingness to adhere to safety and cleanliness standards
  • Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years of prior culinary experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and HACCP standards
  • Ability to prepare meals according to standardized recipes and quality standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and operate kitchen equipment
  • Experience in maintaining cleanliness and organization in a commercial kitchen
  • Capability to work in a team-oriented environment

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and ensures food is at the correct temperature and appealing
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures and maintains records during service periods
  • Cleans kitchen and maintains high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately to the supervisor
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • Abides by all company safety policies including the use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • Performs other duties as assigned
