Job Requirements
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals
- Knowledge of various cooking methods including grilling, baking, and boiling
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work as a team
- Effective communication skills
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Food handler certification required
- Must be able to pass Washington State Patrol background check
- Must successfully pass drug and TB testing
- Must have one year experience working in a commercial or catering kitchen
- Must be able to handle physical demands such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in a hot, steamy kitchen environment
Job Qualifications

- AA culinary degree preferred
- One year experience working in a commercial or catering kitchen preferred
- Experience using various ingredients and cooking techniques
- Experience using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions in cooking
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures such as grilling, baking, and boiling
- Ability to follow sanitation procedures
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
Job Duties
- Prepare food in accordance with recipes including washing, measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
- Provide support for special meals as directed by lead cook, kitchen supervisor, or kitchen manager
- Prepare ingredients for cooking such as chopping vegetables and cutting meat
- Cook food using various kitchen equipment including pots, pans, utensils, and grillers
- Monitor food while cooking to stir, turn, and check for proper temperature
- Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
- Ensure all food and supplies are stored properly as directed
