Job Requirements

  • At least two years of culinary experience preferred
  • ability to work full time Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
  • willingness to comply with safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • availability to work at Ross Headquarters in Dublin, CA
  • ability to follow directions and maintain cleanliness
  • commitment to safe work practices
  • ability to participate in training sessions and meetings

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum two years culinary experience preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and instructions
  • strong attention to detail and quality

  • ability to operate kitchen equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring food is at correct temperature and attractive
  • uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records
  • cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains cleanliness standards
  • stores or discards excess food according to safe food-handling procedures
  • keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and orderly
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers
  • performs job safely and maintains clean, safe work environment
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures in compliance with HACCP standards
  • commits to personal and team safety
  • abides by company safety policies, including use of gloves and proper lifting techniques
  • performs other duties as assigned
